Help!!!!!What is a good age to get someone a cell phone?

I am and i received my first phone at . The only reason i got one though was because i had baseball everyday after school and i needed to be able to talk to my parents to tell them what was going on. If that wasnt the case then it would prob be around freshman year, but anytime that the parent feels they need to be in touch with their kids should be when they receive one. its a matter of preference. you alone decide. do not give into the everyone has one excuse. if your kid is out enough to where you do not feel safe by not being able to communicate to them, thats when they need their first phone
